How can I use paper trading for study?
After practicing with virtual money, reflect on why you made your choices rather than focusing on the results.

Remember this first
First, 3 things to remember
- 1Paper trading is a virtual trading practice that does not use real money.
- 2Record not only the reasons for buying but also the reasons for waiting.
- 3Virtual returns do not guarantee the same results in actual trading.
Write down your reasons before clicking.
Write down the reason for your interest in one sentence, such as "A new contract appeared in the news" or "The price crossed the previous range." Also, note down what you do not know yet.
Reviewing your thoughts after a trade is called a post-mortem. You must write down your reasoning before knowing the outcome to prevent your memory from being biased by the results.
Reflect using five questions.
Why did you become interested? What did you verify, and what did you not know? What were the conditions to change your mind? What changed afterward? What should you look at first next time?
You can write notes even if you did not place a virtual order or if the trade was not executed. The notes below are personal learning notes saved in this browser.
- 1
Why did you become interested?
- 2
What are the facts you verified and what do you still not know?
- 3
What did you decide would trigger a rethink?
- 4
What actually happened afterward?
- 5
What should you check first next time?
These notes are different from your account's transaction history.
My WAPE paper trading record is a screen for checking virtual trades in your logged-in account. Notes in this guide are saved only on the current browser and are not automatically transferred to other devices.
Clearing browser data may delete your notes. Also, since virtual execution does not replicate all order sequences and costs of the actual market, do not view paper trading profits as a guarantee of actual profits.
You should not make such assumptions
“If the simulated investment return is high, will the actual result be the same?”
Virtual trading and the actual market are different. Practice results cannot be viewed as a guarantee of actual profit.
Check what you have read.
- Did you write down the reasons before seeing the results?
- Have you also reflected on the reasons why you did not place an order?
- Have you decided on one thing to check next?
This is saved only on this device. It is not synced with your account history.
Apply what you read to the actual screen
