You cannot judge whether it is positive or negative news based solely on the suspension. Check the reason for the suspension for the specific stock using the information button on the card.

Both indicate a volatility halt due to rapid price changes. Codes may vary depending on exchange and data feed standards, such as LUDP on Nasdaq and M for NYSE-affiliated quotes. WAPE classifies all of these as 'volatility'.

The listing exchange for the stock verifies the disclosure of material information and determines whether and when to resume trading. The Nasdaq, NYSE, and NYSE American are the entities responsible for this decision, and the resumption time cannot be known until an official schedule is announced.

Regulatory halts for US-listed stocks apply to all other US markets where the stock is traded. You cannot bypass a halt by switching brokerage firms. However, order restrictions imposed by a brokerage firm itself are separate from an exchange-mandated halt.

LULD volatility halts apply during regular trading hours from 09:30 to 16:00 Eastern Time. Outside of these hours, trading may be restricted for other reasons such as news or corporate events. The 5-minute rule for regular sessions does not apply to all sessions.
